Lulu Lupin™ at NLPAC - London N10

Lulu Lupin™

The Wolf Who Loved Music

A Magical Music Journey for Children

Now at the New London Performing Arts Centre (NLPAC)

Saturday 21 February | 2:30–4:00pm | Ages 5–8

This half term, Lulu Lupin™ lands at the New London Performing Arts Centre (NLPAC) in Muswell Hill. It marks an important step for the Magical Music Journey within one of North London’s well-known creative spaces for children and families.

Lulu Lupin™ is a musical storytelling workshop that introduces children to the ukulele through imagination, participation and live performance.

At its heart is a different kind of wolf. Instead of repeating the familiar big bad wolf narrative, Lulu Lupin™ presents wolves as intelligent, resilient and collaborative animals. The story reflects themes of courage, cooperation and independence, gently drawing parallels between the natural world and human community life.

It’s a playful mix of storytelling, tactile props, music and ukuleles, where children meet the characters and work together towards creating a group song of their own.

By swapping the big bad wolf for a chanting social pack, children try out playful howls, movement, physical comedy and musical interaction. They practise empathy and teamwork, and leave with the sense that humans live alongside animals, not above them.

All children join the story and handle the props, while the ukuleles are introduced and shared during the session so that everyone has the chance to experience the instrument. The workshop combines storytelling and sound in a way that encourages focus, curiosity and shared experience.

NLPAC is a well-known local arts centre offering dance, drama and music classes for children and young people. Hosting the workshop within this environment places Lulu Lupin™ alongside other creative disciplines in a space dedicated to the performing arts.

Families who wish to continue after the workshop will have the option to explore Ukulittle® Foundation Level 1, an innovative and colourful introduction to early learning ukulele. The approach encourages agency, hands-on participation and early musical confidence.

Bookings are now open. Families, educators and school networks are warmly invited to share the information with those who may enjoy a magical music journey rooted in creativity, storytelling and respect for the natural world.
