I’m excited to finally share the new Ukulittle® website. This update feels especially meaningful, because behind the scenes it has taken vision, persistence, and the unwavering support of long-time supporters and new collaborators alike, both in the UK and abroad.
Each leap forward is also proof that it is possible to build a meaningful, woman-led, self-sustaining creative livelihood — even when the path is full of challenges that often remain unseen. For me, this relaunch marks a milestone that shows how far Ukulittle® has come — and offers more than a glimpse of where it’s hopefully heading to.
The Ukulittle® website has been rebuilt after the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the strategy work that followed. It felt important to create a space that supports both the day-to-day running of Ukulittle® sessions and the wider creative vision of the brand.
This stage has been shaped with ongoing support from the insightful Cristina Angelucci, international IP consultant and organiser of the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair, and from the wonderful Karen Shooter, whose incredible mentoring and creative input have been invaluable in shaping Ukulittle®’s next steps.
What’s new
The site now brings together the main ways families, schools and partners can connect:
ClassBento bookings are live, opening up Ukulittle® 1:1 online ukulele party sessions for young learners across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
The eShop continues to showcase Ukulittle® kits and felt plectrums, and also highlights future titles in development to give a sense of the wider programme of early years ukulele learning.
Two digital packs are also available again in the eShop, following requests to bring them back by mailing list members:
UkuLeela has a Farm — a 30-page printable PDF with 6 video links featuring the animal creature UkuLeela.
Christmas Mini Collection — a 16-page printable PDF with 3 colour-in songsheets and 3 audio guides sung by UkuLeela.
Animation & YouTube – A special new step is the creation of the wider Ukulittle® world of Flickerwick, introducing new character-friends like Dizzy the dog, and caterpillars Beep and Bop. It begins with the first UkuLeela™ animation test, created by my talented brother, Alberto Gianni, now featured on the Play & Events page. Alongside this, UkuLeela™ debuts a brand-new welcome song with its own never-before-seen songsheet — giving families a first taste of what’s to come. Together, these launches bring UkuLeela™ to life on screen and in song, hinting at future companions — including another creature-friend now in development — while laying early groundwork for short-form YouTube episodes as a future touchpoint for families. I’m scripting initial clips and will progress this strand thoughtfully as the right team and resources come together.
Why it matters
This relaunch provides a foundation for new live ukulele projects in London, including this Autumn Half Term debut of the magical StoryLab: Lulu Lupin, the Wolf Who Loved Music.
It also supports a growing strand of current in-person collaborations abroad, from workshops and StoryLabs commissioned by Festival Naturae, to pop-up events at La Cavallina Storna, Cayman Beach, plus Ukulele + English trial sessions in selected venues in partnership with Ravenna’s Council — all part of Ukulittle®’s developing work in Italy.
Alongside these opportunities, the site now makes it easier for families to book sessions whether online or in person, discover inclusive ukulele resources, and see their children shine in their own unique way with high-quality materials developed over many years of practice.
• Explore the new site and book directly through the Play & Events page.
