This October half term 2026, Ukulittle® will be running two London taster sessions, with separate groups for ages 5–6 and 7–9. On Wednesday 28 October, we’ll be at The Hub in Tottenham. On Thursday 29 October, sessions will be at Jacksons Lane in Highgate, following our May Lulu Lupin storytelling experience, a playful world of music, imagination and hands-on ukulele.

These sessions will bring together storytelling, imaginative play, rhythm, hands-on ukulele, well-loved songs, musical games, exploring the voice and songwriting. And the October dates are not intended to stand alone. From January 2027, regular spring-term sessions are planned at Jacksons Lane, with further activity at Lordship Hub also part of the wider London development.

A year ago, after taking my brand to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in spring 2025, I came home with a clearer sense of how the Ukulittle® world could grow.

The last few years have been anything but straightforward. I lost my mum and my much-loved dogs, and there were other painful changes too. Rebuilding my own trajectory and sense of identity has taken a huge amount of emotional and psychological work, but also a determination to keep hold of the present, keep moving, and stay open to people and possibilities as they appeared. In doing that, I’ve been lucky enough to find new connections and a real sense of possibility. I usually go by trial and error, so it will be interesting to see what the next year delivers!

The Bologna Bookfair I took part in last year became an important reset. A working session with International Branding Consultant Cristina Angelucci challenged some of my assumptions, sharpened the next steps and encouraged me to keep the live London programme active while the wider creative plans continued to develop.

Since then, teaching has continued with a mix of returning students and new families, while Lulu Lupin came to The Green Shed in October 2025 and then to Jacksons Lane in May 2026. This autumn, the format broadens into the new Ukulittle® tasters.

Lordship Hub, also known as The Hub, is an exciting new venue relationship. Ukulittle® has already made some happy connections in other parts of Haringey too: in October 2023, children’s Halloween ukulele sessions were hosted as part of The Rec Shop’s anniversary celebrations at The Mall in Wood Green.

Over the years, we have worked across schools, nurseries, festivals, community settings and independent venues. The vision is for carefully selected and properly trained teachers to take the programme into their own settings, using the established method and resources while maintaining the quality and spirit of Ukulittle®.

For now, the focus is on building this next London phase well, creating continuity for families and keeping the live strand moving as part of the bigger picture.
